SURPRISE (sort of)!!
Saturday, November 10, 2007
We "tried" to pull off a surprise 16th birthday party for Chace and our neighbor, Hannah Nelson (she's 9 days older than Chace). We told them it was an "End of the Season, Volleyball/Football Party". I think Chace got a little suspicious when he realized his Dad (the head football coach) was going to be out of town today. He says he was surprised, but that may have been just to make me feel good. Even if it wasn't a surprise, we all had a lot of fun!!
Huge card game of "SCUM" (nightly ritual at
the Tenney home)
Hannah & Cassie rocked on Guitar Hero
Danny & Taylor (Danny was definitely the "expert" of the group)

Halloween FUN??
October 31, 2007
I have NEVER been a "fun" halloween mom. To put it nicely, "I HATE HALLOWEEN!!" I don't sew, I'm not crafty and creative, so my kids always pretty much get the shaft when it comes to cool costumes. We still had a pretty fun night though - Our Chamber of Commerce and Transnation Title/US Mortgage Source put on a HUGE halloween party (trunk or treat) out at Bison Ranch. The kids got tons of candy, free hot dogs, chili, hot cocoa, etc. Then they had free hay rides, a cake walk, costume contests, etc. It was actually an enjoyable night for us all!

(thank goodness he still fits in $$$ Store costumes)

CAMERA IS FOUND!
I know many of you have been wondering why I did a post over a month ago, and then haven't done anything since?? The camera had been lost now for almost two weeks. I just wasn't asking the right people, because when I finally mentioned it being lost to Ron, he knew right where it was!!
This coming weekend (Nov. 2nd and 3rd) is State Volleyball and the semi-final game for football. Hopefully I can keep track of the camera and get some good pictures of the kids in their games. I'll try not to let another month pass before I get another post done.

Madden's 1st Overnighter
ALL of us had such a blast!! The kids just can't seem to get enough of him. I wish I had a dollar for everytime one of us said, "HE'S SO CUTE!!" I'm sure it was probably around 100 times.
Emma got to feed him his cereal that morning
Madden was fascinated with Aunt Kimi's bubble blowing skills

Fall '07 - First Orchestra Concert
Maryssa had her first orchestra concert of this year on October 18th, 2007. Their 6th grade orchestra class lost a few members from last year and had no bass cello players. So, Mr. Cheney asked Maryssa to switch from the violin to the bass. The instrument is almost twice her size, but she did an AWESOME JOB!!
This was Madden's first orchestra concert as well!!

HOMECOMING WEEK
MIGHTY MAN VOLLEYBALL
THURSDAY NIGHT - Pep Assembly/Bon Fire - Grandma Mary Tenney was the "Guest Speaker" at the assembly. They asked her to give a little history about our school and then background on the fight song she wrote for MHS. Uncle Jake came to help her out and spoke a few minutes on how his class was able to be in on the naming of the school, mascot, colors, etc. We are SO BLESSED to have our own High School here and our kids be able to participate in so many activities which they probably wouldn't have elsewhere.

HERE WE GO!!
My daughters are bound and determined that they are going to get me started on this. I have absolutely LOVED their blogs and I probably get on to check and see what they've been up to at least two or three times a week. So, I guess they figure I need to repay the favor. I'd better do this now while we still have kids at home, because once they are all gone, I figure our lives will be SOOOO boring, there won't be much to say.
This week is Homecoming week at Mogollon High School, so I plan to take pictures of the activities each night and post them this weekend. We'll see how the picture taking goes and if I can figure out how to get the pictures from the camera to the computer. Could be interesting!!
